| Friendly Society Club Day | 26 May 2008 | Roll Call at the New Inn at 11.00 am and march to the Church for the service.

| Sheep Race | Saturday 21st June 2008 |
Priddy Pre School and Priddy Friendly Society will be holding their fourth annual Sheep Racing Event sponsored by Voyce Pullin on Priddy Green. The fun filled evening will begin around 5p.m. as the bouncy castles, side shows and refreshments open for business. As well as the races there will be further attractions and games together with a pig roast and a licenced bar until 11.00 p.m. Mendip sheep are again in training and a new generation of jockeys are being coached. On the day visitors will be able to view the runners in their pens prior to racing. Race cards will be available indicating the main sponsorfor each race, the names of the sheep involved and their jockeys. At 5.40 p.m. the auctioneers will offer temporary ownership of the sheep for the first race to the highest bidder, and betting will begin in earnest for an exciting start at 6p.m. The winning tickets will be paid out at the end of each race. Six races will be held at half hourly intervals and finishing at around 8.30p.m. Evening entertainment this year is provided by the Mangled Wurzels. Come and join in on a really great night out. |

good food and a great line-up of talent.

Church Fete on Saturday 14 July on the Green with a marquee again this year as it was so enjoyed last year.

Bonfire Night at Priddy is always something special and it draws thousands of people in from the surrounding area.
Bonfire and fireworks from 6:30 Tea, Coffee and hot snacks available There is no designated parking, please park considerately; thanks. The event is free and is run by volunteers, donations can be made to bucket waving stewards during the evening; your support is appreciated. |
